"My world is filled with islands, wild horses, seals, birds, tangled weeds, fog, oddly shaped trees, and the sea. As I walk near my home along the Atlantic coast, I paint in my sketchbook, then use words to tell the stories behind each painting.”

Briana is the author and illustrator of ten picture books, and one middle grade novel. Her work does not have boundaries; she makes whatever interests her, which is why you can find large scale oil paintings, animations, surface patterns , book cover designs and stationery in her portfolio along side her picture books. Briana makes her paintings in a variety of mediums, including oil, acrylic, watercolour, gouache, cut paper collage and digital mediums. She is fascinated by many subjects , and has made art about Sable island, Anne of Green Gables, and her childhood memories.

Briana Corr Scott is a Canadian illustrator and author who lives and works in Nova Scotia.
